Last October we did a little styled elopement at Blue Bee Cider in the Scott’s Addition area of Richmond. I was inspired by the golden, sunset hues and abundant apples from our Virginia autumns, and worked with Fleure Studio to create a table scape reminiscent of this vibrant and lush time of year.
I wanted to create a scene that could be easily replicated for an intimate elopement in Richmond, sourcing the china and tablewares from my own collection and local antique shops, and the vintage wardrobe and accessories from Halcyon Vintage. The beautiful vessels were hand-crafted by Emily Pawlica and the celebratory cider came right from Blue Bee, who hosts a number of weddings and private events throughout the year. Images were taken on a mix of digital, 35mm film, and polaroid throughout the drizzly morning, which was truly fitting of this time of year and made the day all the more authentic and sweet.
