Last summer I photographed an intimate elopement on the James River in Richmond, Virginia on both digital and film mediums. I worked very closely with Adin and Tim to craft an elopement that was meaningful to them, so the spot at the river where they frequently spend their summer days swimming and kayaking was the perfect place to exchange their private vows. Their amazing officiant - Elope RVA - helped them create a beautiful ceremony and vows, and also provided the bouquet and boutonniere, composed of happy roses and greenery.
Incorporating their dog, Violet, and cat, Crispin, was also an important component, so we made sure to document some of the morning after the ceremony at their town home and around their neighborhood. The entire day was full of excitement, feeling, gratitude, and warmth, and I feel so honored to have been there to witness it.
