I have so much to say about Caroline and Michael, but I’ll keep the written portion short and let the photos speak for themselves. C+M originally came to me to photograph their fun and lively wedding at a local brewery in May 2020, but plans changed quickly due to COVID-19 and the decided to marry at Meadow Park, just a couple blocks away from their Richmond, VA home.
The ceremony was officiated by a close friend and was one of the most intimate and meaningful moments I’ve ever witnessed. After the ceremony, Caroline and Michael celebrated with a homemade peanut butter pie from Garnett’s Café (one of their most favorite places to go for vegan treats!) and popped a bottle of champagne to commemorate the morning. The day was just about them and their love for one another, and their witty sense of humor made the day incredibly fun and care-free. We walked around the beautiful streets of The Fan, taking in the significance and bliss of the day, and ended our festive tour at a local garden just behind their house.
I documented the morning with a mix of film and digital media to capture the nostalgic and raw emotions of the day. As much as they wanted to celebrate their wedding with friends and family, Caroline and Michael knew that the most important thing was the focus on their relationship and celebration of their new life together as a married couple. They are incredibly warm-hearted, kind, and sincere, and am so honored to have been a part of their wedding day!
